"Works as described & meets my requirements"
This product (Temperature and Humidity Monitor and Alert System with Wet Temperature Probe) is very nice. Installation and setup were very easy, and took less time than the instructions said it would. The wireless receiver was immediately recognized by my network as soon as I connected it to the router. The range is not a problem for me; the monitor and receiver are about 18 feet apart. After two months of use, it performs as described and meets my expectations. I have it installed to monitor the water temperature of a hot tub (or spa). We have had several instances of the heater breaker tripping. Since the hot tub is outside on a covered patio, my concern was not knowing the water temperature when the outside temperature is near or below freezing. I have it set to take measurements twice an hour. Alarm limits are set at 40 °F and 110 °F for the outside temperature, and 95 °F and 105 °F for the hot tub water temperature. (For my use, the relative humidity is irrelevant.) Normal water temperature is about 102 °F. That means I get an alarm on my Android phone if the water temperature goes below 95 °F (the heater is off) or the outside temperature goes below 40 °F (it's getting cold outside.) The graphs on the web site are adequate, although I would like to be able to change the line colors. (The yellow line for the wet probe temperature does not show up well, especially on a phone.) I also like the ability to download the data, which gives me the opportunity to roll my own graphs and keep a longer history. However, only the past seven days of data are available. If I can't download exactly every seven days I have gaps in the data, and if I download more often I get duplicate entries. I would like to be able to specify the date range to download, and span much more than a week – at least a month would be better. I can recommend this product for anyone who needs the capabilities and has a home network.
