    Time Zone and DST

The time zone is set when creating your account. The time zone in your account adjusts to the app and website. DST update accordingly. To change the time zone log into your account. Under Help click Account. Under Personal Info click Change Timezone? Select the desired time zone from the drop down menu. Click Update.

How many gateways can I have per account?

    There is no limit.

How many sensors can each gateway have?

Each gateway can support 3 - 5 sensors.

        How accurate are the sensors?

Acceptable temperature variance is +/-2 degrees; humidity +/-7%. The TX60/TX70 temperature rangers are similar to all La Crosse Technology sensors. Temperatures range from -39.8°F to 139.8°F and humidity ranges are 3% to 99% (%RH). These sensors can not be calibrated. The primary cause of inaccurate readings is mounting/placements issue.

Can I send Alerts to more than one e-mail or phone via text message?

No, you can not have more then one e-mail or phone number (for text messages) receive alerts.

What is included the Enhanced Service that is not included in the Basic Service?

            image
            How long is data stored?

In the App approximately 250 readings are stored.  This is based on interval settings.  Interval settings can be found under Setting in your account.  Interval setting options are 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.  If more data is desired change to a browser.
In a Browser two weeks of data will be stored, no matter the interval settings.  This data can be exported to a .csv file from the table tab from within the device.

What does it mean when my gateway is flashing red and green?

A flashing red and green light means your gateway is still registered. See unable to register gateway for trouble shooting.

My sensor shows nC, what does this mean?

nC indicates you do not have a probe attached to the sensor. If you have a probe attached and are still seeing nC, check that the probe is attached properly by removing the battery cover and inserting the probe plug into the probe socket next to the batteries.

                  I added subscription/enhanced service but I can't see if it was applied / I didn't receive a confirmation.

You can view the current term of your enhanced service plan for your sensors by going to the Settings panel in the La Crosse Alerts Mobile app or website and look for the line Enhanced Features / Alerts Expiration Date: to see what date your enhanced service will expire on this sensor.

How to change Sensor display to Celcius?

The sensor itself will only display temperature in Fahrenheit. You can set the app or website to display Celcius in the Account section under Alerts / Display info -> Display Metric(Celcius) or Standard/Imperial(Fahrenheit): Click Change Units and select the unit you desire.

I'm not receiving text / email alerts

                      • Verify your email address is correct under the Account section.
                      • Verify you have alerts configured. If you have an alert set you should see a green check mark next to the reading you set Alert on.
                      • Verify the alert emails are not being filtered into your spam/junk mail folder.
                      •  Add alerts@lacrossetechnology.com to your safe senders list.

                      Unable to register gateway

                      Gateway Registration

During the set up process you may experience trouble registering your gateway.

                      Start by:
                      1. Performing a factory reset.
                      2. After completing a factory reset you do not receive four red blinks within 30 seconds, what are the lights on your gateway doing?

                      Performing a factory reset

                      • Remove the AC adaptor from the gateway
                      • Press and hold the gray button on the gateway then plug the AC adaptor back into the gateway.  Make sure to keep the gray button pressed while doing this.
                      • Keep the grey button held in until the red light comes on, goes off then comes back on a second time, then let go of the button.
                      • The red light will shortly go out again, wait for the four red blinks before trying re-registration.

If after completing a factory reset you do not receive four red blinks within 30 seconds, what are the lights on your gateway doing?

One Blink - No internet connection

                      • Check that your LAN cable is inserted correctly and working properly.

Two or three blinks - The gateway is not communicating properly with the router

                      • Start by unplugging the AC adaptor from the gateway.
                      • Next move the LAN cable to a different port on the router.
                      • Reboot/Power Cycle the router.
                      • Businesses with strong firewalls or security wall may want to set a Static IP
                      • If none of these solutions help try a different location with internet.  If you are able to complete set up successfully at a different location you should be able to power down the gateway and sensor and move it back to the intended location by simply connecting gateway to the router and then powering the gateway and sensor back up.

                      Four blinks

                      • If four blinks are received within 30 seconds of completing a factory reset you are ready to register.

                      Blinks red and green

                      • Check to see if the gateway already exists in your account.  If the gateway exists:
                        • Go to the account menu on the home page.
                        • On the Current User Info screen scroll down to the Current Gateways section.
                        • Select the correct gateway by comparing the serial number on the physical gateway.
                        • Press Delete Gateway button.
                        • Remove the AC adaptor from the gateway.
                        • If the gateway does not exist in your account contact us by using the contact support button at the bottom of this page, please include your gateway serial number and username on the account.

                        No blinks/lights

                        • Check that your AC adaptor is properly plugged into the gateway and wall.
                        • Try a different outlet.

                        Solid Red

How do I set and change alerts?

                                                      Setting Alerts

La Crosse Alerts Mobile offers two types of alerts.

                                                      System Alerts

System Alerts include low battery notification and not seen/not connected alerts.  These alerts will automatically be sent if conditions are meet and cannot be adjusted. These alerts can be viewed on the sensor settings page.

                                                      Conditional Alerts

Conditional Alerts require an Enhanced Service Plan. At a minimum one gateway plus one sensor or weather station registered to your account is also required. Alerts are sent via e-mail and/or text message. Conditional Alerts include sensor temperature, sensor humidity, probe temperature (if used) and an H2O pad (if used). H2O pads will only work with TX70U-IT and TX71U-IT sensors.

To set an alert click the red plus sign next to the reading.   Set the minimum and/or maximum reading and select how to receive the alert.  To save setting click Create Alert.
