Unable to register sensor

During the set up process you may experience trouble registering your sensor.

Start by:

  1. Place the registered gateway and sensor within 3 - 5 feet of each other.
  2. Remove the batteries from the sensor.
  3. Press the gray button on the sensor 25 times.
  4. Place new batteries in the sensor. Be sure to use a new, Brand Name Alkaline battery dated at least 7 years in advance (super, ultra, max, heavy duty and rechargeable types should be avoided). Place the batteries back into the remote sensor; making sure they are installed according to polarity. 
  5. R11 or R22 should read on the LCD display for a couple of seconds followed by a 1 or dashes. If you see the temperature on the LCD display press and hold the gray button on the sensor for about 15 - 20 seconds until you see 18.88 and then return to step 2.
  6. Unplug the AC adaptor from the gateway for 15 seconds and then plug it back in.
  7. Once the red light on the gateway is solid, go to your account and select Register New Sensor. If the light on the gateway is not solid red what is the light doing?
  8. Firmly press and release the gray button on the gateway.
  9. Firmly press and release the gray button on the sensor.  The sensor should start counting for about 10 - 20 seconds.  (Example 101, 102, 103...)
  10. Firmly press and release the gray button on the gateway.  
  11. Once you see the temperature on the LCD display select 'Submit" in the app or website.
  12. If you do not see the temperature on the LCD display repeat steps 8 - 11. Although this may not be typical these steps may need to be repeated 3 - 4 times.
  13. If there are other sensors connected and working with this gateway and you are unable to register this sensor contact us by using the contact support button at the bottom on the page.
  14. If there are no other sensors registered to this gateway delete the gateway from your account, factory reset the gateway and re-register the gateway.
