Unable to register weather station

During the set up process you may experience trouble registering your weather station.

Start by:

Select the Account menu item on the home page of the app/website and make sure that the gateway is updating.  If your gateway has been seen in the last couple of minutes:
  1. Press and hold the set button for 3 - 5 seconds until "Lcd" appears on the display.
  2. Press and release the set button 20 times until the display reads "rES oFF".
  3. Press the up arrow button until the display reads "rES Lo".
  4. Press the set button and the device will quickly reset the internet connection.
  5. Return to the app and try to register the weather station again.
 If your weather station has not been seen recently:

  1. Power Cycle the display.  If after 30 to 60 minutes your gateway does not update, you will need to delete and re-register.
  2. Delete Weather Station and Sensor(s) if exist
    1. In the app/website locate and select the desired weather and sensor(s) under Your Devices.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Delete Sensor and confirm.  Repeat for all weather stations and sensors registered to the gateway.
  3. Delete Gateway
    1. Select the Account menu item on the home page of the app/website.
    2. On the Current User Info screen scroll down to the Current Gateways section.
    3. Select the correct gateway serial number by comparing to the physical gateway.
    4. Press Delete Gateway button.
  4. Res Lo
    1. Press and hold the set button for 3 - 5 seconds until "Lcd" appears on the display.
    2. Press and release the set button 20 times until the display reads "rES oFF".
    3. Press the up arrow button until the display reads "rES Lo".
    4. Press the set button and the device will quickly reset the internet connection.
  5. Factory Reset Gateway
    1. Remove the AC adaptor from the gateway
    2. Press and hold the gray button on the gateway then plug the AC adaptor back into the gateway.  Make sure to keep the gray button pressed while doing this.
    3. Keep the grey button held in until the red light comes on, off and back on again.
    4. Wait for the four red blinks before trying re-registration.
  6. Re-registration
    1. On the app/website home page, under Expansions Options, select Register New Gateway and follow the on screen instructions.
    2. Once the gateway is registered, if not prompted, return to the app/website home page, under Expansion Options, select Register New Weather Station (WS2816/C84612) and follow the on screen instructions.
